How Chiropractic Adjustments Really Work [Evidence based explanation]
Переглядів 8 тис.6 місяців тому
There is a common misconception that chiropractors put bones back into place. However, there is no evidence to support this overly-stated claim. It is more likely that spinal manipulation (chiropractic adjustments) resets internal structures within facet joints. These are called synovial folds or meniscoid entrapments. Other explanations are that chiropractic adjustments break up adhesions in t...

What is nerve tension? [Best explanation of sciatica]
Переглядів 3387 місяців тому
Healthy nerves have the ability to do 2 things. They can stretch and elongate a little bit, and they can slide between other tissues, or in the case of the spine, through this canal called the intervertebral foramen. Nerve tension is when the nerve gets irritated, inflamed, and swollen, usually at this spot in the spine, and they lose the ability to either stretch or slide, making things like p...

Guys, deadlifts are not a bad exercise. It is one of the most natural movements you can make. If you’ve ever picked anything up off the ground, you’ve done a deadlift. Learn proper form. Injuries can happen even to experienced lifters, it’s part of the deal. If you never want to hurt, never leave your house.

I know the science behind it, it’s just air, but I still like to believe the cracking comes from breaking up crusty crystals that glue the joints together.

The placebo effect for chiropractic is nevsr zero. Orthopedic treatment should involve low enrtgu and high amplitude as physical therapists perform. The chiropractors do the opposite, high energy and low amplitude. I am a family physician. I gross anatomy disections it was obvious the spine is so well designed that you are not going to manipulate the vertebrae with any kind of manipulation. There are dozens of muscles attached to the spine that can spasm causing back and power extremity pain. No one is realigning the spine.

A decent explanation but you have to admit there should be more detailed studies on the angles of force used and what is actually being affected in terms of joints, tendons, ligaments, etc. All guesses should be eliminated as much as possible in future studies or the filed won't be taken seriously by the orthodox medical community.

I love popping and cracking my joints. I even do this thing where i put my hands together and focus on using my shoulders to create a pressure against my hands and my shoulders will make this crazy continuous cracking bubbly sound. It doesn't feel like when im popping my fingers or legs, knees, elbows or back and neck. Its a different type of cracking. I can also do this bubbly sound to my elbows when i make my arms straight and slowly press them down but the way your arms cant bend and the bubbly sound happens. Of course im not trying to brake my arms. But i do it. Just enough to make my elbows crack well having them straight. I can also do this sometimes wit my ankle tendon. I'll stand up almost on my tippy toes and my tendon will make that bubbly cracking sound. It's crazy though bcuz it's not a bone

This is not a functional fitness tip because it is not the way people fall down. It's instinctive to get on your hands & knees and then push up from Downward Dog pose. Alternatively, from hands & knees, raise butt up into the air and "walk" your hands up your legs until upright.
